The LTA continues to work with the ITF to develop Tennis Xpress for the British market. The LTA plans to launch the programme to the coach workforce in October 2012, with a consumer launch in 2013.
The LTA will retain Tennis Xpress as the programme name, supported by the tagline of ‘learn to play, the easy way’.
The main goal of Tennis Xpress is to help players to learn the basics of tennis, so that they can have fun playing games or matches with their friends and family or with people they have met on the course.
It is aimed at people who haven’t played tennis at all or people who might have played tennis a bit when they were at school but haven’t picked up a racket in years.
